An advised walking tour introducing tourists and travellers to my spectacular city and those who choose Dorsoduro to start. The tour will be a walk, without fees, starting from Campo San Barnaba around the well and ending by Madonna della Salute Church. It is a walk through residential alleys, monumental arear and museums that can compete to those in Saint Mark Square. As well, you may stroll and visit handcrafted shops, historical shipyards. We can rest at traditional refreshments places so as to continue admiring unique glimpses and panoramic points upon the channel of Giudecca.

D2 - DORSODURO HIDDEN

An in-depth walking tour discovering hidden views and corners of Dorsoduro district. The tour will be a walk, without fees, starting from Sant'Andrea de la Zirada Church entrance at the side of People Mover shuttle in Piazzale Roma and ending by Accademia Galleries. We will continue to explore residential alleys off the beaten path as well as monumental palaces. D3 - CA' REZZONICO MUSEUM

Meeting point: Campo San Barnaba by the well

The huge Palace Rezzonico is facing the Grand Canal, dwelling of an ancient venetian noble family first and then bought by the powerful Rezzonico family. The visit will let you admire the architecture but above all the house and the remarkable main floor, where there are exposed pieces of art and decors flaunting the richness of the owner.  On the second floor you will be received in the "portego" of paintings, with canvases by Canaletto, the room dedicated to the everyday life paintings by Longhi and the renowned frescos by Giandomenico Tiepolo where we could ponder on the meaning of "new World".

D4 - ACCADEMIA GALLERY

Meeting point: entrance of Gallerie dell'Accademia

The Galleries of Accademia are located in an architectural complex made up of several buildings: the church of Santa Maria della Carità, its monastery and the spaces of the devotional Brotherhood of Charity. These buildings were remodelled several times, also the great XVI century architect Andrea Palladio brought his contribution, until in 1807 they were used as the seat of the Academy of Fine Arts with the adjoining Galleries. These Galleries host 37 rooms (24 on the first floor and 13 on the ground floor) in which is structured an exhibition itinerary that ranges from XIV to XVIII century painting. Among the most famous, you may admire absolute masterpieces such as "The Tempest" by Giorgione, paintings by Tiziano and Tintoretto, "Saint Orsola series" by Carpaccio and "The Feast in Levi's House" by Veronese.

D5 - PEGGY GUGGENHEIM COLLECTION

The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is hosted in her famous house in Venice. The palace became one of the most important European and American contemporary museums in Italy. Inside are preserved works of art that belong to collections Hannelore B. and Rudolph B. Schulhof. This museum is located in the famous unfinished XVIII century Venier dei Leoni Palace, facing the Grand Canal. The famous, resourceful Peggy bought it in 1948 and lived there until the end of her life, having opened her beloved collection to the public. Since 1980 Peggy Guggenheim Collection has been organized by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. This experience will let you admire huge valued works of art, that highlight the development of American Modernism, of Italian Futurism, of Cubism, Surrealism and Abstract Expressionism. Also exhibited are works by Picasso, Pollock, Ernst, Brauner, Magritte, Kandinsky, Dalì.
